Although I have never ridden the trails at Palo Duro Canyon, I have visited several times.  Many people feel this area is one of the most beautiful places in the country.  As a child my family visited relatives in the area several times a year.  I remember the first time we drove through Palo Duro Canyon, the awe inspiring feeling that came over me as we looked off into the canyon.  Later in life my father taught me to drive with a standard transmission down the side of the canyon.  I cannot wait to return.

Due to the fact that I have not ridden the trails and I have not been to Palo Duro Canyon in many years, I located several websites with some information about the trails and one about the state park.  They are:

It gets cold in the Panhandle of Texas during the winter months.  You will probably want to schedule your ride for Spring or Fall.
