Terlingua Area, TX
|
Also see the Big Bend National Park Official Site.
| This is the County Road that turns North
at the Terlingua Store on HWY 170. There are several places to get out and ride your
mountain bike or to do some 4 Wheel Driving in your truck. Pay close attention to
where you go or you will get lost. You can click on these photos to see a larger copy!! |

| You will find several places where you can
stop and ride, just watch out for cactus. Walking the bike is not as much fun as
riding it, as you can see from the first picture. However, driving is always a good
way to get up a hill. You can click on these photos to see a larger copy!! |
|
| As you can see, this area is beautiful.
Plan to spend more than a day if you want to really explore the area. You can
get some directions from Desert Sports in Terlingua. You can click on these photos to see a larger copy!! |
|
| There is plenty of room for 4 wheel
driving and mountain biking. Bring some water and leave plenty of time.
Remember, you always have to ride back too. Don't get to far out because
there is no one out there to help you if you cannot make it back. The second picture is of Terlingua Creek during the dry season (almost all year). When it rains this area is completely under water. In the distance there is water across the trail. You can click on these photos to see a larger copy!! |
