November 2008 - Kate and WA treated Linda and I to a weekend of sight-seeing and trout fishing while we were visiting them in Greenbrier, AR. They reserved a duplex cabin for themselves and a RV site for Linda and I at Swinging Bridge Resort on the Little Red River near Heber Springs, AR. The Little Red River is held in high esteem by trout fishermen around the globe and we had a great time annoying the serious fishermen and catching a dozen trout for the table. We spent a lot of time wishing all of our family and friends could have been there with us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the near perfect weather.
The RV site the kids provided us with. Linda and I sincerely appreciate your generosity.

Some views of the river.
There's a fish hatchery near Greers Ferry Dam that was interesting to visit.
There were hundreds of tanks with thousands of Rainbow and Brown trout from fingerlings up to massive 35 pounders on display to the public.

Nana: "I could've had a V8 . . . instead of these grandkids!"
Linda: "Just kidding!"
We dined al fresco at the Klaser Cafe.
These next pic's are views of the river from the Klaser's outdoor dining area.
Swinging Bridge Resort is just upstream on the other side of the bridge to the right.
This is the fishing dock at the Swinging Bridge Resort marina where we tested our skill.
I worked tirelessly to put food on the table . . .
With a moderate amount of success . . .

Miss Hollywood arrived late in the morning after the sun had warmed the air.

Then nearly looses him.

The boys begged for the privilege of cleaning the days catch and really enjoyed it.
The catch is in the bag! Great job, boys. I think you established a new family tradition.
