Bad Boyz Bikes

Bad Boyz Bike Show is a motorcycle event sponsored by a local bike shop that specializes in customized Harley Cruisers.  The show has competition in several classes and the public votes on their favorites.  Favorites in each class are awarded trophies.  As you can see, most of the bikes are Harley Davidsons and are custom built street cruisers.  I will label to the best of my memory any pictures I post here that are exceptions to that category.

This is a Moto Guzzi (Italian bike) chopped to be a street cruiser.  Notice the orientation of the cylinders.  They are V-Twin like the Harley but are perpendicular to the frame instead of in line with the frame like a Harley.  It also was one of the first manufacturers to use a shaft drive instead of a chain drive.  Someone did a nice job on this one but, as a purist, I hate to see the antique bikes reshaped from their original design.

This is a 1958 Cushman Eagle scooter.   It was one of the first American made bikes.  This one has been restored and lots of non-original "stuff" hung on it.

This is the Honda S90 that Linda and I entered.  This show was not the correct venue to show this bike but it received a lot of attention and I'm sure brought back many memories for many of the motorcycle fans that visited the show.  Some of the differences between our S90 and the other entries are:  1.  This S90 is all original except for "consumable parts" such as spark plugs.  Replacement parts are all of original manufacturer's type and make.   Even the tires are of the original type and make that this bike was originally imported with.  2.  This S90 is a true antique having been imported in 1967.

This is an Indian (manufacturer) motorcycle.  It is not one of the original American made models.  This one was built in England in the 1990's after the Indian design was resurrected.

This Harley Davidson "Duo-Glide" was one of my favorites at the show.  It is an early 1960's model that has been restored to like new, original condition.

Linda and I had a full day to explore and inspect over 100 bikes at the show.  As you can see from these pictures, many of them have paint jobs that cost more than most people spend for a car!
